'The one principle that surrounds everything else is that of stewardship: that we are the managers of everything that God has given us’ – Larry Burkett

Stewardship is the responsible management of all our God-given resources. In the BUC, we emphasise personal, community and organisational stewardship.

Personal

The greatest gift that God gave was that ‘He sent His Son into the world’ (John 3:16). Through daily Bible study, prayer and meditation on His goodness, we become more acquainted with His will for us to live with purpose, meaning, generosity and joy as we prepare for the soon coming of Jesus Christ.

Community

Good physical health and mental well-being are essential today, as are personal development and caring for the environment. Ancient Bible principles offer 21st-century seekers arenas of truth and credibility as they make sense of an ever-changing world and their place in it and introduce them to a God who loves them.

Organisational

Effective organisational stewardship centres around trustworthy, responsible leadership characterised by compassion and integrity and robust management based on ecclesiastical policies, charity law and sound business principles. This includes continual monitoring and evaluation, transparency and accountability based on Godly principles.

Stewardship Training is provided through a monthly webinar, and resources are available to download or on request.
